About the job

Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and are seeking dedicated, driven, and committed staff to help us achieve this ambition.

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Systems, Support and Development Team, ensuring that all Council finance ICT systems are effectively maintained and developed.

Committed to continuous improvement, you will have a clear drive to provide an efficient, high-quality service to customers, and ensure that the operation of all finance systems are maintained and developed securely and in a manner consistent with the vision and ethos of the Council.

You will assist with the implementation of corporate IT projects and will have primary responsibility for the administration and development of the ResourceLink HR/Payroll system. You will also be responsible for producing high-quality finance system reports and management information.

Self-motivated and with excellent communication skills, you will be required to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the Council, NEC (the Councils ICT partner), external audit, Cleveland Fire Authority and other client companies, and to ensure that collaborative working arrangements are maintained and developed.

The post reports directly to the System Support and Development Manager, although you would also be expected to liaise directly with the other senior staff and members of the Council.
