Sunderland City Council has a strong commitment to apprenticeships and development. As a Multi Channel Marketing Apprentice, you will receive full support throughout your programme while gaining hands-on experience within a busy and creative communications team supporting communications for Sunderland Care and Support.
You will develop the skills needed for a successful career in marketing and communications by working alongside experienced colleagues, at the same time as working towards a Multi Channel Marketer Level 3 qualification.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the development and delivery of creative and engaging communications campaigns
- Assisting with planning and delivering digital and social media content to raise awareness of services
- Helping to create content across a range of platforms, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines
- Supporting communication activity for key events and campaigns across the organisation
- Assisting in monitoring and evaluating communications activity to inform future campaigns
- Supporting engagement activities and events that promote the organisation’s work
- Developing an understanding of digital marketing trends and tools

No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

The team operates agile working; however, you will be expected to attend your main place of work a minimum of two days a week, with opportunities for flexible working where appropriate. One day a week will be set aside for attending an educational institute, in person or online.

To qualify for an apprenticeship, you must:
- Be 16 or over at the start of the apprenticeship;
- Not in full-time education;
- A UK citizen or have proof of right to work in the UK;
- Have lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years or more;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK for the full duration of the apprenticeship
- You cannot undertake an apprenticeship if you already have a higher qualification in the same subject
