? What Will You Be Doing?
As an IT Client Services Specialist, you will be a vital bridge between our people and our technology, ensuring our diverse teams have the digital tools, skills, and confidence to work effectively. Your main responsibilities include:
- Serving as the main, welcoming point of contact for our external IT support providers and monitoring SLAs to ensure reliable tech support.
- Identifying digital skills gaps and delivering friendly coaching and training sessions across key software, systems, and practical AI tools.
- Supporting everyday cyber security practices (such as MFA and endpoint security), keeping our IT Risk Register up to date, and assisting with disaster recovery plans.
- Managing the practical lifecycle of hardware, tracking software/vendor contracts, and coordinating IT purchasing to ensure charity funds are spent wisely.
?? What Skills and Experience Do You Need?
To be successful in this flexible and rewarding role, it is essential that you have:
- Practical experience working in an IT support, helpdesk, or technical coordination role.
- Experience assisting with hardware inventory, basic purchasing, or coordinating with external service providers.
- Good working knowledge of Google Workspace administration and mobile device setups.
- A practical understanding of everyday cyber security practices (e.g., Cyber Essentials principles, phishing awareness).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm, patient, and empathetic approach to coaching non-technical colleagues.
- (An understanding of the charity sector and the unique challenges of working with vulnerable populations is highly desirable!)
