About the job

Join us a Communications and Marketing Manager and help shape the story of the North East

This is an exciting opportunity to join the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority at a time of transformation and ambition. As Communications and Marketing Manager, you will play a leading role in planning and delivering strategic campaigns that showcase the impact of our work, engage diverse audiences, and support the delivery of our priorities across the region. Working closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to maximise the reach and effectiveness of our communications, ensuring our messages are compelling, evidence-based and deliver measurable results.

You will lead complex, high-profile marketing and communications campaigns from concept to evaluation, managing budgets, procuring specialist services and overseeing the delivery of projects across the full communications mix. Whether promoting major programmes, supporting consultation and engagement activity, or helping to manage sensitive issues and crisis communications, you will be a trusted advisor who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, helping to enhance the Authority’s profile and strengthen its reputation across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Just as importantly, you will invest in the development of others. Leading and coaching junior communications professionals, you will foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and high performance.
